All of I-40 east at Carlisle has been shut down. At the Big I, all traffic on Interstate 25 going north is being diverted to I-40 west.

Gilbert Gallegos, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said one person was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital and another motorist “also suffered injuries.”
