Fatal interstate crash caused by in-road water heater, police say
A Sunday morning crash left one person dead on the scene after a driver attempted to avoid a water heater in the road, according to New Mexico State Police.

The Buick swerved to avoid hitting the water heater and collided with the Jeep. Ms. Platero sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator.
