Michael Archuleta, 55, arrested after allegedly causing motorcycle crash that killed Eloise Armijo, 68, in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico

Albuquerque motorcyclist Eloise Armijo was heading south on State Road 68, after going to the Red River motorcycle rally over Memorial Day weekend, when she struck the side of Archuleta’s truck. The impact sent her flying into the side panel.
Archuleta turned left onto the southbound lanes, headed toward State Road 74 and Chamita.
“Eloise merged into the right lane (slow lane) which appeared (to) Raquel (Chavez), who was traveling behind Eloise, was to avoid crashing into the truck,” State Police Agent Jessie Whittaker wrote in an affidavit for an arrest warrant.
Archuleta then allegedly drove over her motorcycle and up State Road 74 toward Chamita.
