Texas teen dies in crash in Portales after police chase
Portales Police Department Public Information Officer Charlie Smart says three people were in the vehicle: a male driver believed to be 18 years old, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, all of Lubbock. The driver and the girl were airlifted to a Lubbock hospital in critical condition where the girl later died.

Smart says three teenagers were in the vehicle, all from Lubbock. The driver, 18-year-old Jerry Nale, and a 16-year-old passenger were airlifted to a Lubbock hospital in critical condition. A 14-year-old passenger was treated for minor injuries and eventually released to a family member.
