Speed, tires blamed in 2 deaths
The causes of the deaths and toxicology reports are pending while autopsy results are awaited, they said.
It was before 9:00pm when Moreau was driving on Clark Road in northeastern Saratoga County and lost control of the vehicle, possibly due to excessive speed and/ or worn-out tires, and plowed through a guardrail before striking several trees. Both Moreau and his passenger Otruba were removed from the truck, but were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigation to determine the cause of the accident continues.
