Brendan A. Fields, 27, dies after losing control on icy roads on County Highway 2 in Andes, New York

Brendan A. Fields, 27, of Binghamton, was driving a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser south on County Highway 3 on Monday when he lost control of the vehicle while going around a curve. The vehicle crossed the roadway, struck a tree, and came to rest in a culvert.Fields was transported to O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, where he later died. Troopers say Fields was driving too fast for the icy road conditions.
