Cause Of Deadly Crash On I-84 In Upstate NY Under Investigation
It happened just before 4 a.m. near Exit 3 in the town of Wawayanda just outside Middletown.
Few details are known, but it appears the tractor-trailer rear-ended the car. Three people were killed, including a child, CBS2 reported.

More information is expected to be released by state police at a 2 p.m. news conference being held at Troop F headquarters in Middletown.
The highway's westbound lanes remain closed between Exit 2 near the Pennsylvania border to Exit 3 outside Middletown. Westbound traffic is being diverted off I-84 onto Route 6.

Asyria Ferrer, 14, was in the front passenger seat when a tractor-trailer slammed into a car in which Jesenia Valentin, 29, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was driving. Valentin's daughter, Angelina Rodriguez, 9, was also killed in the 4 a.m. accident between exits 3 and 2 in Wawayanda, near Middletown. Angelina was in the back seat.
