Attica woman seriously injured in vehicle crash
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says that an Attica woman was seriously injured following a motor vehicle crash near the Village of Alexander Monday afternoon.
Deputies say that the crash happened at around 4:45 p.m. on Route 98. They say 53-year-old Lorna Johnson was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, and that she was the only person inside the vehicle. Deputies say that the Trail Blazer slid off the road and hit a tree.
According to deputies, members of the Alexander Volunteer Fire Department extricated Johnson from the vehicle. After being treated by medics at the scene, she was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight. Johnson is said to be in critical condition at this time.

Lorna has worked at the Brothers of Mercy for 31 years. Co-workers have started a collection for the mother of four. Her youngest son is 13-years old. "She is a very caring and wonderful person, she would put herself before you," said co-worker and friend Julie Kaczmarczyk.
