Amherst police ask anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call 689-1311.

Pedestrian critically injured near UB North Campus(link is external)

Wang was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of a head injury. As of Sunday afternoon he was listed in critical condition. No charges have been filed against the driver.

Lu Wang was crossing Sweet Home Road when he was struck by a van driven by 60-year-old Debra Blakely-Riddel. He suffered a head injury and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. More information will be posted as it is released. Police are asking for the public's help to find more information about this incident.
