Bus driver ID'd in fatal school bus crash
In the afternoon, officials identified the bus driver as Edwin Rivera Dejesus, who had been with the company since Oct. of 2010. Authorities said it could have been a medical emergency that led to the crash, but he had no health issues in the past.

A Monroe Transportation bus carrying eight students and one bus monitor sideswiped a First Student Transportation bus before crashing into a tree on Hudson Avenue near Avenue D in Rochester. A medical issue may have been a factor. Streets in the area have been temporarily closed so drivers are asked to avoid the area. The unidentified bus driver was deceased at the crash site.
