Man charged, woman killed in Thruway crash

After Vann was treated at the Erie County Medical Center and released, he was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, following too closely and speed not reasonable and prudent for the conditions. 

Drunk driver collides with snow plow on Thruway near Buffalo, killing passenger, police say

A Rochester man was drunk when he rear-ended a snowplow on the Thruway early this morning, killing his passenger, state police announced. 
A Rochester woman died and a man is facing multiple charges after a collision on the New York State Thruway early Friday morning. The crash occurred when a vehicle rear-ended a snow plow in the eastbound lanes of the Thruway. Passenger Milagro Lopez-Cruz, 33, of Rochester, was killed. The driver, Jermaine A. Vann, 34, of Rochester, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Numerous charges are pending and the investigation into the crash continues.
