New York State Police responded to a car and motorcycle crash at the intersection of Route 37 and Route 51 in Malone Thursday. The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m.
2 Canadians killed in motorcycle crash in Malone
New York State Police said Jacques Patenaude, 60, of Ontario, Canada, was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle on State Route 37 when he rear-ended a stopped 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
At about 10:30 a.m., Jacques Patenaude was driving near the intersection of Route 37 and Route 51 when he struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jonathan Hutchins, 53, of Malone. Hutchins was waiting to make a left turn and was stopped in the intersection. Patenaude and his wife, who has not yet been publicly identified, were pronounced dead at the scene. Hutchins was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center for evaluation.
