A State Police vehicle and a school bus were involved in a head-on collision on Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred near the intersection of Route 55 and North Cross Road shortly after 3 p.m.
Fatal school bus accident involved a State Trooper
The collision between an Arlington Central School District passenger minibus and the State Police patrol vehicle, a Ford Explorer, has claimed the life of an adult aid who was working on the bus. Lagrange Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The school bus, owned by the Arlington Central School District, was northbound on South Cross Road and failed to stop at the stop sign while attempting to enter State Route 55.
