One man died after being catapulted over a railing and three others were injured after a car crash on the Bruckner Expressway Sunday morning, police say.
One man died after being catapulted over a railing and three others were injured after a car crash on the Bruckner Expressway Sunday morning, police say. Abubakar Saleh, 47, was checking on a Toyota sedan that broke down on the near 138th Street when he and another man were hit by a Honda sedan traveling on the freeway, according to the NYPD. Saleh was sent over the railing onto another road below and was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. The 22-year-old man who was inspecting the car with Saleh was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The driver of the Honda and a 15-year-old boy who was inside the Toyota at the time of the crash were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the accident and as of yet no arrests have made.
