Crews were sent to the crash on Belmont Avenue in the East New York neighborhood shortly before 11 p.m., officials say. The police vehicle appeared to have been pinned under the bus, which caught fire.
All four victims were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition, firefighters say. According to the NYPD, no civilians were hurt in the crash.
It wasn't clear what caused the wreck.
