Hit-run bus driver cuts woman 'in half' in Brooklyn: cops

A 70-year-old woman was “cut in half” as she was struck by a city bus that continued along its route on a Brooklyn street early Tuesday, officials and horrified witnesses said. The doomed woman — who may have been homeless — was crossing Fulton St. at Sackman St. in Brownsville about 6:15 a.m. when the bus struck her. The bus, which was turning from Sackman St. onto Fulton St. drove off, a stunned Garcia said. “(The bus driver) never stopped, just was just going,” Garcia said. “He never realized what had happened. It’s a big machine. I guess you don’t feel something like that.” It was not immediately disclosed if the hit-and-run bus driver ever stopped or was questioned.
