Deputies and members of the Ellenville Rescue Squad and Fire Department made their way onto the frozen lake to rescue the man, identified as 38-year-old, of Brooklyn. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies and detectives responded to the lake at about 5:23 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, in the area of Sherman and Camp roads and discovered and an overturned UTV, police said.
