A driver who was allegedly drunk hit and killed a 61-year-old man who was walking across a Long Island road Saturday afternoon, police said.
A driver who was allegedly drunk hit and killed a 61-year-old man who was walking across a Long Island road Saturday afternoon, police said.
Officials said Brian Dudley, 41, hit the man while he was crossing Elmont Road at the intersection of Cerenzia Boulevard in Elmont at around 3:30 p.m.
The man was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
According to authorities, Dudley was intoxicated and has been charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
