One person dies and one injured in single-vehicle rollover car crash on Interstate-77 ramp in Charlotte, North Carolina

One killed, one injured in crash near uptown Charlotte Posted: Updated: One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash near uptown Charlotte early Monday morning. The accident happened just after 4 a.m. on the Interstate-77 ramp to West Morehead Street. Officials say the car was traveling southbound on I-77 when the car turned onto the ramp and rolled over. Another person in the car was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in serious condition. One person, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene.
