Mother of five struck, killed by car on Mother’s Day
A family member said the victim was walking to see a relative with her oldest daughter.

“On mother's day of all days, I mean it's really devastated Michaela to see her momma get hit and killed,” Allen said.
Crystal McDaniel, a mother of 5, died after being hit by car in Gastonia Sunday afternoon. There are no sidewalks along the street where she was struck. The vehicle also collided with a residence. A man in the car was treated for injuries.
