A woman was killed when a Hickory police officer slammed into her minivan during a chase on Friday, according to the Hickory Police Department. The child passenger died from injuries on Sunday.
North Carolina mother and son killed in crash during police pursuit
North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the woman in the van, Cynthia Nicole Lail, 38, died at the scene, and her son, Michael Lail, 12, died at a hospital the next day.
