NCHP: Man turns himself in, charged in deadly hit-and-run

State troopers said Travis Fitzpatrick, 33, turned himself in early Saturday morning. He has been charged with felony hit-and run.

Troopers are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle that struck and killed a woman in Lincoln County Wednesday.

The incident happened between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. on Summerow Road at Business Highway 321.

Officials say the woman, later identified as 53-year-old Sherry Kittle, was found deceased on the side of the roadway.

Troopers are looking for a mid-sized white sedan that likely has front end damage and broken headlights.
