Two hospitalized in Matthews head-on collision

Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday after a head-on collision in Matthews, according to Medic. It appears that a white truck and a silver sedan collided on Pleasant Plains Road near Callonwood Drive Saturday afternoon. Fire crews, medical personnel and police were on scene tending to the crash. Medic says two people were taken to the hospital with serious injured and says someone was pinned in one of the vehicles. Police have not said what led up to the crash.
