Man killed after crashing motorcycle into Rowan Co cemetery, troopers say

Troopers told WBTV that they want to talk to the driver of a black Ford Mustang that may have been in the area at the time. Anyone with information about the incident should call police immediately.

A man from Mocksville was killed Thursday after crashing his motorcycle into a cemetery in Rowan County.

According to North Carolina Troopers, the man, later identified as John Alexander, was riding on Highway 801 in western Rowan County when he ran off the road at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m.

Troopers told WBTV that they want to talk to the driver of a black Ford Mustang that may have been in the area at the time.

Anyone with information about the incident should call police immediately.
