Amy Taylor, struck and injured by hit-and-run driver while walking at an intersection on South Main Street in Burlington, North Carolina

Burlington police are investigating a hit and run accident that happened early Sunday morning. Police say at 12:46 a.m., Amy Taylor was walking on South Main Street. When she crossed the intersection at Sixth Street, police say she was hit by "an older model Honda Accord." Taylor told police there were five people in the car. She was treated by Alamance County EMS.
