Damage to the business was estimated at $20,000, while both vehicles were considered total losses. Galvan also was charged with driving without a license and failure to yield the right-of-way. Bond information wasn't available as of early Monday.
Jose Manuel Galvan, of Burlington, was charged with DWI following a two-vehicle crash at the 1900 block of Maple Avenue in Burlington, North Carolina. The accident occured around 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, October 26 when Galvan attempted to turn left onto south Maple Avenue when his Mazda collided with a Lexus that had the right of way. After the collision, the Lexus crashed into the Ray's Mini Storage building. Both people received injuries not considered life-threatening. Galvan was charged with driving without a lisence and failure to yield.
