Police: 63-year-old driver arrested after hitting 3 people, including a child, and fleeing

Victor Charles Brooks, 63, was charged with driving while impaired, felony hit-and-run and possession of a fraudulent I.D.

3 injured in High Point hit-and-run; suspect charged DWI

It happened just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of E. Springfield Road and Bellemeade Street. 

Police found three people that had been hit by the same car. Two of them were treated and released from a nearby hospital.

The pedestrians were taken to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist hospital in Winston-Salem with injuries ranging from minor to serious, according to a High Point Police Department news release Thursday.
