Gina Ann Caraballo, 41, Kayla Caraballo, 12, Breanna Burrow, 11, killed, two others injured after head-on crash on U.S. 311. in Salem, North Carolina

Authorities said three people died at the scene of a Sunday night crash. The crash occurred just after 8:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 311. Gina Ann Caraballo, 41, and her daughter, Kayla, 12, died at the scene. A third person in the car, Breanna Burrow, 11, also died at the scene. The North Carolina Highway Patrol said Caraballo's car crossed the center line and hit another car head-on. Two people in that car were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The crash is still under investigation.
