40-year-old woman died, police officer injured after a two-vehicle collision that involved a patrol car on U.S. 52 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A woman died and a police officer was injured after a car hit a Winston-Salem Police Department patrol vehicle on U.S. 52, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers said the woman was riding in a vehicle along with three others that hit a patrol car Sunday night around 10 p.m. on the highway.
