Willie Lee Perry, 48, Phyllis Perry, 52, and 1-year-old infant killed when their car left roadway and crashed into tree on Highway 12 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Colerain, North Carolina

North Carolina Highway Patrol says an infant was one of three people who died because of a vehicle crash in Bertie County Friday night. Two adults and a baby were traveling west on State Road 1001 near Colerain when their vehicle strayed to the right of the road, struck a ditch and crashed into a tree. Troopers say the vehicle caught fire, and 48-year-old Willie Lee Perry, 52-year-old Phyllis Perry, and 1-year-old Madison Perry passed away. Highway Patrol said the three shared the same home address, but it is not clear the exact relationship between them.
