Delivery driver rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver on Welcome School Road in Sampson County, North Carolina

According to the Highway Patrol, the Amazon van was traveling southbound on Welcome School Road, and was slowing to make a delivery, when a 2006 GMC Yukon, also traveling southbound, failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of the van. The driver of the GMC fled from the accident scene on foot. Witnesses reported the hit and run suspect was armed with some type of rifle.
