Fayetteville police said a deputy with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office was attempting to stop a Kia on West Russell Street when the vehicle ran a red light and collided with a Hyundai at the intersection of West Russell Street and South Eastern Boulevard.

15-year-old driver charged in crash that killed 2 Cumberland County teens
The teen is being charged with two counts of second-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury, speeding, driving without a license, a red light violation, and three counts of felony hit-and-run.
