Five injured in four-car Johnston County wreck; 37-year-old charged

A 37-year-old man was charged with DWI early Saturday after a four-car wreck on U.S. Highway 70 near downtown Princeton sent five people to the hospital, North Carolina State Highway Patrol officials said.
According to investigators, Rodney Goods was driving east on U.S. 70 when he ran a red light in a Chevrolet SUV at about 7:45 a.m. near Pine Street. The SUV hit another vehicle, which had a 19-year-old male driver from Princeton. No information about their injuries has been released. Goods suffered minor injuries in the wreck, but he refused to go to the hospital. He was also charged with driving with a revoked license, running a red light and a vehicle registration violation. He was sent to the Johnston County jail Saturday under a $15,000 bond. This story will be updated once new information is released.
