A Raleigh police officer and another driver were taken to the hospital after a serious crash that left the officer's car upside down. The crash happened early this morning on the corner of Pender Street and Carver Street.

Monday morning at 4:19 a.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to an officer needing assistance call at North Carver Street and Pender Street. It appears that a RPD cruiser and another car crashed into one another, knocking down a power pole. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
