ic Lavon Hill, 27, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the Dec. 27, 2014, crash in which Anika Aikman, 22, of Wilmington and her boyfriend Jonathan Clark, 23, of Leland, were killed. 
At around 4:00am, a car containing three people in their 20's was traveling on Grandiflora Drive when it approached a curve near Willow Pond Lane. The driver failed to negotiate the curve and the car slid sideways into a small tree that completely separated the front and rear halves of the vehicle. The two passengers in the car were dead at the scene, but the driver only sustained minor injuries and fled the area. He was later found and identified as Eric Lavon Hill, 26, and has undergone toxicology tests.
