Man killed in two-vehicle collision near Rugby

Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 3 around 10 a.m. when the truck began to turn into a residence just over a hill. The trailing car, a Chevrolet Impala, struck the truck in the right rear, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The car rolled and came to rest in the shoulder and caught fire, a news release said.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that Seth Nelson was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala north on Highway 3 behind a food truck driven by Darek Falcon, 34, of Belcourt, at about 10 a.m. Wednesday.
One man was killed and another man was injured when a vehicle struck a commercial truck 11 miles north of Rugby. The driver of the truck, Darek Falcon, 34, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was injured. Highway patrol stated that the other driver, whose name has not been released, was not wearing a seatbelt.
