Driver Gregory Madden, 37, and passengers Robert McGowen, 36, and Timothy Reese, 34, after collision on icy Highway 85 near Watford City, ND

Sometime in the evening, Madden lost control of his pickup truck on an icy stretch of Highway 85 and the car spun into the path of opposing traffic. Another pickup truck then struck Madden's, before it was struck by a semi-truck. Madden, McGowen, and Reese, all of whom were in Madden's truck, died in the accident. No information on the other people involved was available.
