According to the Valerie Rivir Saurine, a fellow Barracuda parent, Davis had eight children. Three of his boys swam for the team. She said the Davis family had been involved with team for more than a decade.

Davis and his wife, Cathy, have eight children and the swim team set up a GoFundMe account Jan. 12 with a goal of raising $2,500 by the end of February. The total on Tuesday morning stood at $13,630. The GoFundMe account will be open until the end of February.
