FATAL CRASH IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY

The patrol said 35-year-old Jason Stoll, of Newark, was traveling north on Custer's Point in a Chevrolet Silverado which was hauling a trailer, when he pulled off the right side of the road and came to a stop, partially blocking the northbound lane.

That's when a beige Chevrolet passenger vehicle traveling north at a high rate of speed, approached the stopped vehicle, lost control, drove off the left side of the road, struck a mailbox and two trees and caught fire before coming to rest in the roadway.
