A man was killed Monday night as a result of a crash on the far east side of Columbus.
A man was killed Monday night as a result of a crash on the far east side of Columbus. According to Columbus police, the crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday along Brice Road near Tussing Road. According to investigators, 50-year-old Marcus A. Hughes, of Columbus, was trying to cross from the west side to the east side of Brice Road, when 57-year-old Gloria J. Hector, of Reynoldsburg, exited Interstate 70 eastbound and struck Hughes. Witnesses told police that Hughes was then struck by other vehicles, after the initial crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was not injured. Investigators said that the man was wearing dark clothes and was walking next to a bicycle.
