Driver of van airlifted to hospital after crashing into rear of tractor-trailer on I-275.

A van driver was airlifted to UC Medical Center after an interstate crash on Monday morning.

The crash happened on Interstate 275 south of U.S. 50 when the van ran into the back of a tractor-trailer in the southbound lanes around 10:30 a.m.

The highway was closed for a short time to allow the medical helicopter to land.

No name or condition for the driver has been released.

The crash remains under investigation
