Neil Allen Johnston killed, driver Kellis Glenn Barnett, Skylar Renee Justice injured after police chase leads to crash.

A Colbert man died in a Bryan County crash early Monday when a driver tried to elude police, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Neil Allen Johnston, 31, died about 12:55 a.m. Monday on a county road just south of Colbert.

Johnston was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Kellis Glenn Barnett, 26, of Colbert. Barnett refused treatment at the scene for possible leg and internal trunk injuries, the patrol reports.

Barnett was driving south at a high rate of speed trying to elude a Colbert police patrol car. Barnett tried to make a right turn onto another county road and the vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.

Another passenger, Skylar Renee Justice, 21, of Cartwright, was taken to Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas with arm and internal trunk injuries. She was admitted in fair condition.

Johnston was dead at the scene from head, arm and internal trunk injuries, the patrol reports.

Johnston was ejected. Seat belts were not in use.
