Motorcyclist killed in collision with commercial truck on Interstate 40 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma
Oklahoma City man, 27, dies in motorcycle crash on I-40 in Muskogee County
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., the victim on a 2015 Honda VT-750 motorcycle merged onto the eastbound I-40 ramp from the Muskogee Turnpike at a high rate of speed and the rider lost control, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report. The motorcycle fell to the ground in front of a tractor-trailer, which hit the motorcycle.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
