The wreck happened on State Highway 51 just west of Wagoner before 10 p.m. Thursday. Investigators say a vehicle driven by Joey Hensley of Tahlequah was driving east in the west bound lanes and hit another vehicle head on.
Two people killed in separate Oklahoma crashes; five others critically injured
The patrol reported Hensley was driving east in the westbound lanes when he struck the van at the top of a hill.
Seat belts were in use by Hensley but not by Winburn. Seat belts were in use by Charles Morris and Kirstin Morris but not in use by the two juvenile passengers in the van, troopers reported.
Jerry Winburn was pronounced dead at the scene. The two children and two adults who were in the second vehicle are in critical condition.
