A preliminary assessment indicates the pickup driver, who died in the crash, veered into the path of the log truck, according to Sgt. Kyle Hove of the Oregon State Police.

Banks rd is a nightmare!!! People speed at 55 + mph regularly! I have a hard time pulling out of my driveway !
I agree , these days seems unfortunate that many drivers and others are not experiencied with the 'rural' trucks/etc.
Hwy 26 on the way into town is even getting worse!!
