One victim identified in double fatal crash near Canby
Meghan Callahan, 31, of Milwaukie, as well as a 9 year old girl whose name was not released both died Monday as a result of the crash Oregon State Police said Tuesday.
Just before 10:30 a.m., Meghan A. Callahan's 2000 Hyundai Accent sedan was southbound on Highway 99E when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming semi. Callahan, 31, died at the scene, and a 9-year-old passenger was flown to Oregon Health Sciences University, where they died. The driver of the truck was not injured. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality responded to clean up a small diesel spill. We'll update this story with any new details.
