The Oregon State Police reported the crash, near milepost 66, but did not provide details on the fatality or any other possible injuries.
The highway was closed in both direction after the crash, but one lane has been reopened. Flaggers are alternating the flow of traffic through the area.
Travelers should continue to expect delays.
