Pedestrian dies after hit by car in Lake Oswego | KGW.com

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -- A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck and killed in Lake Oswego early Monday morning, police said. Investigators said the 41-year-old Lake Oswego woman was crossing Highway 217 in a crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle. The accident happened around 5:30 a.m., near the intersection of Highway 217 northbound and Interstate 5 southbound. The victim, whose name has not been released, had not activated the pedestrian control device on the crosswalk, either, Wolf said. Police set up a detour around the crash scene, which they said will be blocked until around 10 a.m.

Woman dies after hit by truck in Lake Oswego

Investigators said Vicky Stroh of Lake Oswego was crossing Highway 217 in a crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle.  She was wearing headphones at the time and may not have heard the truck coming, according to officer Jim Wolf with the Tigard Police Department.
