A tractor trailer set off a chain-reaction crash that involved eight other vehicles on Route 422 in Berks County. The accident happened around 7:50 a.m. Friday in the eastbound lanes of Route 422 in the area of Hill Road. Traffic was backed up from the light at Monocacy Creek Road when, officials said, a tractor trailer crested the hill and slammed into the line of cars.
