A Lancaster County teenager was hit by a truck while riding his bike in East Hempfield Township on Monday. Liam Bielawa, 17, suffered a broken neck, back, ribs and other injuries. Doctors say he has a long recovery ahead of him. The accident happened on a busy stretch of State Road in East Hempfield Township. Liam's family says the trucker who hit him did not stop and may not have known anyone was hit. "I'm sure he knows he was passing the bicycle but didn't realize that he hit something, that Liam ran into him," said Daniel Bielawa, Liam's father. Witnesses said the truck was carrying cars.
